At Sunrise Elementary, students are provided with several opportunities to enhance their learning experience. At the fourth and fifth grade levels, students have an opportunity to be part of our student leadership program. These students work in teams to learn valuable leadership lessons throughout the year, organize leadership team volunteer projects, and help plan for schoolwide events such as spirit days and community service projects. Students are also supported through an after school tutoring program as well as other extra-curricular opportunities. Our fifth grade students have the privilege of taking part in our Dancing Classrooms program each winter. In addition, our qualifying students receive services through the District-wide Highly Capable program.
